Presenter's Biography:

Michelle was educated at The University of Hong Kong, where she obtained her LLB (Hons) in 1999 and PCLL in 2000. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2002 and called to the Bar in 2019.

Michelle's barrister practice includes contractual, land disputes, general banking litigation and regulatory affairs. Before joining the Bar, Michelle was a conveyancing partner in solicitors' firm with focus on real estate project, land resumption, project acquisition and related banking work. She delivered CPD courses and seminars to bank and developer clients on the topics of Mortgages and related Undue Influence Issues, Stamp Duty, Competition Law in Hong Kong, Residential Properties (First-hand Sales) Ordinance (Cap. 621) and Anti-Money Laundering: Compliance by Law Firms.
 
Objective:

Conveyancing is a highly specialized practice area. It is often fast-paced and pressing given its essential multi-steps and wide complicated legal issues.

This course aims at providing fellow practitioners a chance to review the fundamental principles and their latest development. The speaker will also address on the daily practical aspects, especially in light of the update legal position on title requisitions.
