Presenter's Biography:

Sindy is a partner of RKS focusing on both family law and private client matters.

Sindy has been advising high and ultra-high net worth individuals/families for over a decade, both in the legal industry and in the trust / wealth planning segment of a global bank as a family governance specialist. She is vastly experienced in all aspects of family matters, including family governance, trusts, divorce, nuptial agreements, forum disputes, financial matters, children, adoption, and surrogacy. Sindy serves private clients' life needs with her all-rounded experience on contentious and non-contentious matters.

For non-contentious matters, Sindy works closely with prominent families on succession planning for the tangibles (e.g., family wealth) and intangibles (e.g., family's shared values and principles) to help perpetuate family legacies and further their philanthropic purposes. This involves: -
  1. setting up bespoke trusts / PTC structures, often involving family governance and family offices,
  2. developing family constitutions, and
  3. assisting with ongoing implementation.
For contentious matters, Sindy was involved in a number of landmark family cases in HK. Her language skills have also led to numerous cases involving cross border HK/PRC disputes which often involve complex issues relating to third party interests, trusts, corporate and jurisdictional issues.

Sindy is keen to use all dispute resolution avenues including mediation.
She is a TEP and a HK qualified collaborative practitioner. She has been recognized in the Private Client Global Elite Directory (2023, 2024 and 2025), and as "Up and Coming" by Chambers and Partners, Family/Matrimonial (International Firms) in the Greater and China Region (2024 and 2025).
